Editorial policy

SiteSignal publishes research reports, news and guides about AI search and answer engine optimization (AEO). This page explains who writes them, where the data comes from and how we correct mistakes.

Who writes our content

Every article is published under a named author. Our research and news are written by Niraj Appuhamy, founder of SiteSignal. The author is responsible for the accuracy of what they publish.

Where our data comes from

• Our research uses SiteSignal's own monitoring data. We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews the questions buyers ask, through each engine's official API.
• We set the location and audience for each study to match the market being studied.
• Each report states its time window, sample size, the engines covered and its known limitations.
• Where we use third-party figures, we name and link the source.

Accuracy and corrections

• Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated.
• If we find or are told about a mistake, we correct it and note the correction and its date on the page.
• To report an error, email hi@sitesignal.app with the page and the issue. We reply within one business day.

Independence and conflicts of interest

SiteSignal sells an AI visibility tool. Our research is built on data from that tool, and some articles compare SiteSignal with other products. Comparison pages show the date we checked competitors' information and invite corrections.
